Concrete panel fabrication
Joanna and Andrew went to Wanganui to inspect the steel moulds for the 15m long and 4m wide precast concrete panels. The panels, once poured, will only be about 12.5 - 15cm thick and so transporting and installing these fragile forms without damage will be a challenging task.

How Strong is a Contemporary Art Gallery?
Designing for 'contemporary' art is no easy task! How can we possible design for the myriad of ideas that artists of the future will come up with? So we decided it to be strong enough to hold one car per suspension point. (These are spaced approximately 2m apart!) That is a lot of cars to be hanging in one space!
As Project Architect for the new gallery, with Pattersons Associates, Jo worked closely with the Structural engineers, Holmes Consulting, on this project from briefing stage to construction stage.
